Can someone please give me an answer regarding these following questions ? :
1. What is the VMware recommanded ratio for memory and CPU overcommitment ?
2. Let's assume that we have a cluster with 3 ESX and each of the ESX are overcommited. 2 of the ESX fails and the running VMs would be migrating to the remaining ESX. Then, I don't understand how overcommitment would work with HA or DRS since a single host must be able to run every VMs in the cluster ?
3. We know that when we assign 4Gb memory to a VM, that VM won't necessarly consume those 4Gb memory. So what's the point for setting a certain memory if the "idle" memory can be recovered by Balloning driver ?
