Total n00b, welcome any white papers on the topic. I am creating a WS2008R2 server with 2TB of space. Typically when I convert physical to virtual and there are multiple partitions, it creates each partition as a separate VMDK in the file store for that Guest. When I create my own guest, I can create the 2TB file store, and then using the Windows Installation process, I can create multiple partitions WITHIN the VMDK. What's the best practice here? Multiple VMDKs for partitions or one VMDK with partitions nested inside? Thanks so much!
