Best practices VM physical socket / virtual socket

Hi,

I have a question about performance vCPU for a VM.

I have an ESXi with 1 physical socket (8 cores + HT) = 16 pCPU

My VM (Windows 2008 R2) with 2 virtual sockets (x 2 cores) = 4 vCPU

Will the CPU performance of my VM be damaged ?
