Errors :
When you use option " All Actions > Erase Partitions" on vCenter Web client, you may receive this error message : "Cannot change the host configuration" ;
When you use SSH with the "partedUtil" command to delete the partition, you receive the error message : "Error: Read-only file system during write on /dev/disks/naa.500xxxxxxx - WriteNewPtable : Unable to commit to disk"
Resolution :
The partedUtil commands are correct but, I don´t know why, you need to wait about 5 minutes to issue the command in another partition. After this time you can change and delete partitions with partedUtil command with no problems.
I used : #partedUtil setptbl /vmfs/devices/disks/naa.500xxxxxxx:1 msdos
Wait 5 minutes and : #partedUtil setptbl /vmfs/devices/disks/naa.500xxxxxxx:2 msdos
Works perfectly !
