I have a customer who will move his entire Citrix Xenapp farm from Citrix Hypervisor to VMware vSphere Hypervisor. I am looking for help on the following:
- What are the best practices for Migrating Citrix Xenap farm to vSphere.
- What should be the design consideration for moving the Xen Workload to VMware vSphere Environment.
- Any Caveats in migration that I should know?
- Infra details:
Citrix Currently has two Xen Farms:
XenApp 4.5 Consists of 70 Presentation servers
XenApp 6.0 Consists of 27 Presentation Servers.
Citrix Netscaller 9010 Load balancer .
2* Citrix WEB Interface servers. 1data collector Running on XenApp Hypervisor and 1 data collector Running on vSphere Hypervisor.
3* Citrix Zone Data Collector for XenApp 4.5 Farm. 2 data collector Running on XenApp Hypervisor and 1 data collector Running on vSphere Hypervisor. XML Brokers reside on the same collector machine.
2* Citrix Zone Data Collector for XenApp 6.0 Farm. 1 data collector running on XenApp Hypervisor and 1 data Collector on vSphere Hypervisor. XML Brokers reside on the same collector machine.
Any help suggestions are highly appreciated.
